The False Faces series includes Waiting For The Night

It is a 16" x 12” Ink and acrylic on stretched canvas of a masculine face of blue and red, with eyes being shut closed by hands with red fingernails. The large face takes up most of the canvas with a small portion of a burgundy/ red background as a contrast that frames the face perfectly.

More About The Artist

Sacramento area-based artist, Jamie Angello, has been exploring their rediscovered love of painting for the past several years. Originally trained in painting, Jamie took a multi-year break to investigate and enjoy the spatial properties of sculpture and the dimension of time in music.

Jamie’s evolution from painting to sculpture and music and then back again has allowed them to introduce a new love of materiality and process into their paintings.
